Summary
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will design and develop solutions in cloud computing (Red Hat and XCP/Xen), network file systems (Gluster and Ceph) and monitoring systems (Nagios and Grafana). We also have custom applications that need to be maintained and improved on requiring skills with mysql databases and programming in a variety of scripting languages. You will also work with the networking team closely, skills in Mikrotik and Juniper are a plus as well as experience with VOIP environments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation of operating systems, network systems, software, and hardware
- Maintain various databases in mysql, postgres, mongodb
- Maintain custom code in various scripting languages such as perl and python
- Monitor system operations to detect potential problems using Nagios and Grafana
- Build open source solutions from scratch such as Asterisk, Kazoo and Kamailio
- Implement network systems to support communication between all departments
- Provide technical direction and guidance to team members
- Provide quality assurance review of new and existing software products
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may function as a technical lead if complicated installations require the assistance of a helper or intern.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in computer engineering, architecture, or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of networking, hardware, and software
